Great day testing with CROC Promotion at PF International Kart Circuit.

Rhys smashed his PB in the one full dry session that we had. He also massively improved in the wet to be within 1 second of the front runners who are the top drivers in the UK.

Hopefully Rhys can keep the momentum going into the next 2 weekends. Thanks to all the team at Croc promotion and all our awesome partners

First days testing with the new Kart today at Fulbeck. When you are the only one out on slicks and taking every teaching opportunity.

The track was incredible cold but we learnt and tried a lot of things. Rhys is getting more comfortable with every lap. We roll onto Tattershall tomorrow for some more seat time.

10th January 2022

We are so excited to let you know that after a successful test day at PFI on Saturdays with the croc promotion kart team  Rhys will be joining the team for the 2022 Ultimate Karting Championship (UKC).

UKC takes place over 6 rounds (see dates and details here) taking us all over the UK. The races are broadcast on Sky/BT and Freeview TV.

This means we will be switching from the Tony Kart chassis to the Mad Croc Chassis (see here) for this season. This is yet another big step up for Rhys, he will be racing in a team environment, along side the ferociously competitive championship that is the @ukcofficial

We will continue to race in the Fulbeck Sprint Series, where we will run the kart as the family team.

We cannot thank our sponsors enough for helping us get to this great opportunity for Rhys to learn and grow. It’s going to be a great year!

28th December 2021

Testing today  was interesting at PFI Karting.

The track was like a lake (thanks British weather) for the first session but was fine by session 3.

Rhys ran at the same pace as the established front runners for the first time in Mini Max . We just need to convert that into Rhys dry pace but a very positive day.

Massive thanks to @robwillshire from Alfano UK for all you help today

October 2021

In October 2021 Rhys moved up a level (sooner than expected due to his excellent progress in the 2020 season) to drive a 125 Mini Max kart.

This is a more powerful kart that can achieve higher speeds and sit in a full size kart frame.

This will give Rhys the experience of driving a bigger and more powerful kart as part of his training to reach to professional driver level.

Positive start for go-kart youngster Rhys Owen. Rhys Owen picked up a good haul of points at the first round of the Woodthorpe IKR Championship.

The young karter had a new 2020 Project One Air kart for this meeting which will be used for the remainder of the season.
After setting his best lap time at the track in testing, Rhys was confident going into the races. He finished fourth, third and third in the three heats, which put him third on the grid for the final.

He had a good start and settled into fourth, chasing down third place. With three minutes of the final to go the race was red flagged due to an accident between three karts.
The race was re-started with Rhys challenging for third but settling for fourth.

He returns to Woodhthorpe on May 22-23.
