At the 2026 BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship Scholarship at Blyton Park Driving Centre Rhys was one of 50 young drivers – with Rhys being a year younger than the others.
He was one for the the final top 6 drivers narrowly missing out winning the top spot.

To say it exceeds our expectations in lap times (2seconds off the track record) and getting up to speed is an understatement. Massive thank you to everyone involved and now the big push starts to get Sponsorship in place for 2026.

As the saying goes….. when one door closes, another one opens. After 5 amazing years in karting, its time to move on.
As much as we are gutted to leave the @guycunningtonracing Team. We have been offered a mega exciting opportunity to start testing a @jsccofficial Race Car with @cursleymotorsport for the remainder of the 2025 season. Before a full on attack for the 2026 championship.
The goal has always been to get Rhys into cars on larger platforms and it’s happened sooner than we thought. So this is an opportunity that we can’t pass up. Not only is this a great opportunity for Rhys but we can offer a lot more for sponsors involved in the future.
We may compete in a couple of low key karting events at the end of this season but now it’s full focus on cars for 2026.
